Dual-Doppler describes the synchronized measurement with two Doppler systems for measuring velocity. Two powerful Doppler lidar systems of the type "WindTracer" are available at the institute (Doppler Lidar Network) which allow measurements of the turbulence in a cloud-free boundary layer. In the framework of EDDy, scanning and evaluation strategies are developed and objective methods for the detection of coherent structures in a two-dimensional wind field are established.
