  • Predictability of mid-latitude weather phenomena, especially heat waves over Europe
  • Heat waves in a future climate: Role of dynamical versus thermodynamic contributions
  • Mid-latitude atmospheric dynamics with a focus on blocking
  • Tropical meteorology, in particular West African monsoon dynamics
