Research interests / About myself
Even during my undergraduate years, my focus was on understanding the dynamics of the atmosphere. During my bachelor and master thesis, I was able to gain experience in this field. In my bachelor thesis, I performed a synoptic analysis of a dust storm in spring 2015 on the Arabian Peninsula. Two years later, in my master's thesis, I explored the influence of El Nino on rainfall variability in Australia from a weather system perspective.
In my PhD at KIT, I am now focusing on the potential vorticity dynamics of blocked weather regime life cycles in the Euro-Atlantic region as part of project A8 the Transregional Collaborative Research Center WavesToWeather.
