We welcome initiative applications

The institute is looking for dedicated and qualified young scientists with a focus on atmospheric sciences (meteorology, physics) for various projects in the research program of the Helmholtz Association. For qualified university graduates there is the possibility to do a PhD. PhD applicants with high motivation for a career in research and teaching are offered an excellent research environment. Activities include development and application work on new high-resolution regional models for weather forecasting, atmospheric composition, and climate change. In measurement meteorology, opportunities arise from participation of the institute with the KITcube facility in international measurement campaigns.

Unsolicited applications are welcome to Prof. Peter Knippertz, Prof. Corinna Hoose and Prof. Joaquim Pinto.
