Hannah will investigate the link between turbulent atmospheric forcing and soil mineral dust emission. For that purpose, she will contribute to multi-institutional field measurements, apply ICON-Art for the field conditions at high resolution, and combine both with theoretical process understanding.

Hannah studied Physics at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg and Environmental Physics at the University of Bremen. In her Master thesis at the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research in Bremerhaven, Hannah studied the instrument-induced mixing of the water isotopic record in firn cores.

We wish Hannah a good start and an enjoyable time at IMK-TRO.
